Parish Mission:
We, the faith community of St. Charles Borromeo a rural community parish in concert with the Universal Church, are dedicated to enhancing the religious life of Catholics in the Milan area through: vibrant liturgies, Faith formation, being youth inclusive, calling and challenging parishioner’s to increase participation, praying for vocations, supporting pro-life, aiding those in need and enjoying social gatherings. We will provide the members of our community a home for spiritual growth and the worship of God. We are members of St. Charles because it is a traditional, spiritual and caring parish community!
Through each and every parishioner's time, talent and treasure, we challenge each other to put into practice a sustained effort to display our witness to the Gospel.
We celebrate our obligation as Christian stewards to receive God's gift gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly with others, and return them with increase to the Lord, the source of all that we have.
Parish Vision:
The five actions discerned for the parish to work towards for next 3-7 years are:
1. Actively support and develop the faith of our youth. Increase their involvement and participation in our Parish family.
2. Assist all parishioners to grow in responding to God’s call to take up a particular ministry within our Parish family.
3. Increase our Adult faith formation ushering them into continual conversion and catechetical opportunities of forming their faith and deepening their relationship with God.
4. Provide opportunities to strengthen our relationship with one another through ministry, committee involvement and parish socials.
To be a prayer warrior Church “for vocations” – constantly praying for the intentions of vocation.
The meaning of your Catholic Christian Lifestyle is found in: the spiritual and corporal works of mercy and in involving yourself in the identity of this parish putting on the five actions discerned from God to our Church!
